Anthem Releases “Cataclysm” Event

Is Anthem getting any new content? How about post-game content?

Anthem has not had a good go of things since launch. The game was very much not what Bioware and EA promised fans, and the team scrambled to try and make the game worth playing. But in the process, the game had its post-game content delayed. But now, it’s been released. Cataclysm is now live to play as long as you beat the “Incursion” mission in the main game.

Players will fight Var Brom for weeks as they try and get control of the planet through various battles. But that’s not all that’s being added to the game:

• Inversions – Gameplay modifiers that change the challenges you face in The Cataclysm.
• Leaderboards – The Cataclysm is a scored mode, and players will have a chance to earn high scores and place on a global leaderboard.
• Seasonal Currency – Completing Cataclysm challenges will reward players with Minor and Major Crystals which they can spend in the Seasonal Store.
• Seasonal Store – A new store with limited-time rewards which can be purchased with seasonal currency.
