Kingdom Hearts 3 Could Potentially Have DLC

Could Kingdom Hearts 3 get content after release? Some new worlds via DLC?

Kingdom Hearts 3 was set to take E3 2018 by storm, and in some ways it did via the arrival of several trailers. These trailers showed off not only new gameplay, but several new worlds like Tangled, Frozen, and the return of Pirates of the Caribbean.

However, because of the release date of 2019 now (January 2019, but still), many gamers are put off, and are looking for anything to hold onto. Such as the possibility of DLC for the game. During E3, Director Tetsuya Nomura sat down with IGN and discussed the possibility of DLC within the title.

“In this day and age, most major titles do have some kind of content releases after their release,” Nomura told IGN via translation. “So since I considered Kingdom Hearts 3 to be one of those major titles, I do want to have something to add to your enjoyment of Kingdom Hearts 3, so maybe you could continue to play a little longer than release, but we haven’t really thought of anything in detail yet.”

Given all that’s going on with the game right now, it’s fair that they haven’t thought about DLC. And furthermore, they’d likely have to be very careful with what they do for DLC in order to make it not clash with the game.
