Bethesda Softworks announced this week that Dishonored 2 will be receiving a free game update on Monday, December 19. This new update will add New Game Plus to the game, and i twill be available on all platforms. It’s already available in beta for the PC version. This marks the first free update for the game.
Players will now be able to unlock the New Game Plus mode after they complete the game as Emily or Corvo. They will have access to each character’s full suite of abilities along with all the Bonecharm Traits and Runes from the previous playthrough. These can now be reassigned to choose the powers you would like the most.
Players will have other options they can customize for their experience later in January, which will be marked by the second free update for the game. The January update will feature Mission Select and additional Custom Difficulty Settings for players who want to tailor their playstye even further. They can also adjust the challenges based on various setting choices. More details on the second free update will be revealed later on.
In Dishonored 2, players take the role of Corvo Attano or his daughter Emily Kaldwin as they go on a journey to take back Emily’s empire from the usurper Delilah. The game won the award for Best Action-Adventure Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2016. Dishonored 2 is available now for Windows PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
