2K Games and Gearbox Software have officially announced three new playable heroes for Battleborn on the official Battleborn website. You can check out the reveal videos for Shayne and Aurox, Kelvin, and Whiskey Foxtrot in the players below.

The three new heroes are playable in competitive multiplayer matches and the Story mode for the game, which will feature single-player and co-op play with up to five players or split-screen with two players.

Just to clarify, Shayne and Aurox are paired together as a combo character. Shayne is a bratty teenage girl who is bonded to a space djinn creature called Aurox. They look to demolish their enemies with brute force and stealth.

Kelvin is a hulking ice golem that is actually an entire microorganism of an entire civilization that forms a single sentient being called Kelvin. Kelvin likes to chomp and freeze its enemies for the sake of the survival of its species.

Finally, Whiskey Foxtrot is an offbeat soldier. He uses scavenged armor and jerry-rigged weapons. He also has a homemade UPR-SL3 tactical rifle, sticky bombs and scrap canon at his disposal, which can turn the tide of any battle.

Battleborn is set for a May 23 release. The game will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
