Are You Ready for Destiny’s Extra Large Spring Update? Find Out What Bungie Is Planning for Gamers Here!

by on February 11, 2016

Bungie community manager David “Deej” Dague detailed some new updates and some of its contents that are coming to Destiny this week on Bungie.net. According to Deej, the game is going to get a second, larger update for Destiny that is coming this spring. This includes a Light level increase, new gear, new PvE challenges and more.

This is the first indication of what will be included with the next upcoming update for the game. More details about the spring update will be revealed later on. However, Deej also promised that the full-on Destiny sequel will drop in 2017. Since it hasn’t really happened with this game, hopefully the more burning story questions for Destiny that were never addressed with the core game and later expansions will be touched upon with the sequel. Since Destiny already started events like the Sparrow League Racing, perhaps more ideas like that are in store.

It seems interesting that Bungie dropped this news right now to players. Last week, it was leaked online that a player survey was circulating online from Bungie to Destiny players asking them why they may have stopped playing the game. One wonders if perhaps this new update will perhaps take some player feedback into account to draw more players back into Destiny again. The franchise does seem to have a bit of fatigue on it at the moment, despite it’s extreme early success.

Destiny is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
