by on May 10, 2016

Nintendo and the Pokemon Company have released a video that has shown off many new details about the upcoming Pokemon Sun and Moon games. First up, the games will release on November 18th of this year, so the wait will not have to be as long as many thought.

Second, the new region will called Alola. And from the reveal video, it appears to the Pokemon version of Hawaii, or a tropical paradise. Even one of the characters note that the region is “paradise”.

Also seen in the video is the detail and graphical improvement. Models seem even more detailed that X & Y, which was very impressive when it released.

Finally, we got to see 5 new Pokemon in the trailer. Three of which were named. Your starting Pokemon are Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio. Rowlet is a grass and flying type, while Littlen and Popplio are pure fire and water types respectively. Also, we got our first looks at the legendary Pokemon of Alola. One appears to be a lion, while the other is a bat Pokemon.

You can check out the full reveal in the breakdown below:

“Meet Rowlet, Litten and Popplio! These are the Pokémon you will choose your first partner from as you launch your Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon adventure!”

Oh it's coming sooner than I expected! I've been playing Pokemon since I was a kid, and I still get super excited with a new game, because it's a rally addictive game. I've been addicted to it a for a lot of years now.

I'm super excited, I love the look of the Moon legendary and the fire starter. The water starter is ok, and I'm not the hugest fan of the grass one so far but I'm willing to wait and see what the evolution look like. Outside of that, I like the tropical inspired region and the overworld looks much improved from X/Y.
