No Man’s Sky Leaked Gameplay

Game: No Man’s Sky

Publisher: Hello Games

Apparently,  a youtuber who goes by daymeeun was able to purchase a copy of NMS two weeks before it’s ps4 and pc debut. He claims to have beaten the game (reaching the center of the universe) in 30 hours, far below the 40-100 hours lead developer Sean Murray estimated it would take.

Here is why you shouldn’t be discouraged.

First, this game is different and therefore will be played differently by different people. Some will sprint for the objective of reaching the center of the universe, while others will explore, trade, battle and enjoy the freedom of what might as well be considered infinite sandbox gameplay.

Another reason not to drop your hype quite yet is because apparently daymeeun was able to use an exploit that allowed him to sell a high priced item multiple times, which then allowed him to quickly upgrade his warp drive, therefore reaching the center of the universe much quicker than the dev team at Hello Games intended.

And finally,  you know there will be a patch before release. If you don’t,  you should. This team has been working on this game for years, and with all of the publicity NMS has received over the last two years, you can bet that they won’t let this exploit go unfixed. The game has already gone gold, they definitely have the money to fix this.

Youtube has since pulled the leaked gameplay videos, but some users were able to upload them to pornhub of all places. This was confirmed (by me) and I had to explain to my boss why I was browsing porn at work. Needless to say, I won’t be posting the link but now you know where to go if you wish to view the leaked gameplay video.

I’d be interested to hear opinions on thsee recent events. Has it changed your perspective of the game? Are you still as hyped as ever? Lemme know, fellow star travelers.

No Man's Sky looks amazing, someone already got a beta version a few weeks ago for $2000 and I've seen some videos from him playing, I'm jealous that he got it so fast but I still wouldn't pay that much for a game.
