Today marks the launch of the Land of the Morning Light expansion for Black Desert Mobile players. Players have been anxiously awaiting this update and now it is finally online.

Pearl Abyss recently offered mobile players a preview of the new region, which features Joseon period-inspired locations. The website post highlighted the new ambits of this expansion.

“Land of the Morning Light, a mysterious new realm beyond the vast Margoria Sea, where adventures begin. Today, we’ll venture off into the Land of the Morning Light where the tales and the quaint beauty of the eight provinces of Korea, including Chungcheong Province, Jeolla Province, Gyeongsang Province, and Gyeonggi Province are wonderfully portrayed.”

Additionally, the team provided a sneak peek at Land of the Morning Light’s new Taebaek outfit, the bosses in the Black Shrine, and a closer look at the expansion’s Choryeong class.

The outfit preview can be found here and the preview videos for Black Shrine and Choryeong can be found below. The servers are still down as of this writing due to maintenance.

Black Desert Online was developed by Korean video game developer Pearl Abyss and originally published for Microsoft Windows in 2014. The game was released as a sandbox-oriented fantasy massively multiplayer online role-playing game

Korean, Japanese, and Russian players can play Black Desert Online for free, while Taiwanese, Southeast Asian, European, North American, and South American players must purchase the game.

You need a minimum CPU equivalent to an Intel Core i3-530 to play Black Desert Online. However, the developers recommend using a CPU greater or equal to an Intel Core i5-650. You also need an ATI Radeon HD 3870 graphics card to play the game.

Black Desert is one of the oldest mobile games and players may opt to play it as a stand-alone offline game. The price may be a bit higher, but you save greatly on Internet costs.
