Fire Emblem Echoes Coming To The Nintendo 3DS!

by on January 18, 2017

Today, during a very special Fire Emblem Direct, Nintendo unveiled many new Fire Emblem titles. But one that no doubt took fans by surprise was Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. Which is actually a remake/update of Fire Emblem Gaiden, which only released in Japan.

The game focuses on brother and sister Alm and Celica, who have to try and keep the peace between two nations that are about to go to war. Unlike the traditional Fire Emblem games, Gaiden used not only a more refined level up system, but featured dungeon exploration, and more nuanced elements of gameplay. Some that honestly haven’t been in Fire Emblem since. For Fire Emblem Echoes, those will remain, but with some modern updates to it.

Speaking of which, the art, characters, and world of Valentia have been rebuilt from the ground up for this 3DS remake/update. And the story itself has actually been expanded upon, thus giving fans new and old a totally fresh experience.

Along with the release of Fire Emblem Echoes, there will be Amiibo characters of Alm and Celica for you to collect. The game is scheduled to release on May 19th. So it’s not that far of a wait.

I used to love Fire Emblem and all characters of Fire Emblem. This was especially after their characters Marth and Roy were introduced to the Super Smash Bros. universe of games. Yet it seems that this series has its ups and downs as well. Sometimes they make games. Sometimes they stop making them….
