In another GDC reveal, Bethesda has announced that they will be holding a special Fallout 4 panel at the event.
It will be called “Fallout 4’s Modular Level Design,” and will focus on how the Bethesda team were able to construct the massive world of Fallout 4 in a relatively short amount of time.
In addition, Senior Designer Joel Burgess and Lead Artist Nathan Purkeypile will discuss the process of using modular art kits and iterative level design to create Fallout 4’s large and detailed locales. The session will also share how smaller teams of game developers can make use of these tools when creating their own game worlds.
GDC takes place March 14th-18th.
