Fallout 4 Getting Hi-Res Texture Patch Via New Update!

by on January 30, 2017

Fallout 4 was a lot of things to a lot of gamers. To many, it was an expansive experience that allowed you to do a lot of things, and at your own pace and leisure. However, many felt that one thing it wasn’t was a graphical masterpiece. In fact, may noted that Fallout 4’s graphics were only slightly better than Fallout 3.

Now though, Bethesda is going to change that, for they have noted that a high resolution texture pack is coming to certain versions of the game. Mainly, PS4, and PC. Furthermore, Fallout 4 will get support on the PS4 Pro. Meaning the game will get native 1440p resolution, enhanced draw distance for trees, grass, objects and NPCs, and enhanced Godray effects.

For the texture packs, it’ll be a free download, this is meant to be a “thank you” to players, especially those who have been playing it on Steam, which seems to be a popular avenue for the game. For PC users, to get the high texture pack, you’ll need 58 GB of save space.
