You Have Been Chosen to Save Ashfall

Welcome to Ashfall, a post-apocalyptic world on the verge of extinction and where you are the chosen survivor that will save the remains of mankind. Find the Creation Core and restore the world.

Ashfall is set in a Fallout-esque, post-apocalyptic landscape. Initially, you will see highly saturated orange sand dunes, massive scrap heaps, giant bugs, and robots with guns. An Elder enters the story at this point, and shares with you the ‘brightly shining star’ story that has destined you to save the world.

A few minutes later, she hands you a gun, pats you on the head, and tells you that now is the time for you to shine (well you know in those old, magical words of Yuri).

Suddenly, you discover that you are mankind’s only hope and you must not only survive, if not rescue the mysterious MIA Yuri, who did not seem to make it. You are the chosen, and thus have been equipped with special gears, a plot, armor, and limitless respawns, – so you will surely do better than Yuri.

Finally, the Ashfall map features an overworld that you view isometrically, traversing with a miniature version of your character. There are interactive signposts on the map where you find question mark icons, which you can use to trigger special events.

As you move around the common dunes and fight the enemy, you must find that box and get things restored as they were before the apocalypse. We do understand that this is not your fault, but destiny has chosen you. So, up to the task, a new day has dawned in Ashfall. Rise to the challenge and save the day.

Ashfall is being developed by NetEase, Inc. a Chinese Internet technology company providing online services centered on content, community, communications, and commerce. The company was founded in 1997 by Ding Lei.
