World of Warcraft Goes Live on GeForce Now
Earlier today, Nvidia announced that World of Warcraft will be available from its GeForce Now cloud streaming service in both its modern and classic versions. This means almost complete support for the Battle.Net library of games is available from GeForce Now.
Despite World of Warcraft’s relatively low requirements for graphics cards, the platform can save you a new device. If you own an older PC or laptop or just want better frame rates, GeForce Now is a good way to upgrade.
GeForce Now requires you to own a copy of the game before you can play it. This is also the case with World of Warcraft, you’ll also need an active subscription.
You can play for an hour per session with GeForce Now’s free tier on basic gaming rigs. However, there is no limit to how many sessions you can play per day. Nvidia has added ads to its free tier, so you’ll need to watch ads before you can play.
For the most immersive experience, try one of the two premium subscriptions – Priority or Ultimate. Priority tier subscribers have access to premium gaming rigs with up to six hours of gaming per session at 1080p and 60fps; Ultimate tier subscribers have access to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 rig with up to eight hours of gaming at 4K resolution and 240fps.
The GeForce Now Priority subscription costs $9.99 (£9.99) per month, or $49.99 (£49.99) for six months. The Ultimate subscription costs $19.99 (£19.99) per month, or $99.99 (£99.99) for six months.
