Where Is All The Witcher 3 Merchandise? Dark Horse Deluxe Has Your Hook-Up!
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the greatest video games of all time. The game is breaking all sorts of records. It’s winning tons of awards including Game of the Year, RPG of the Year and Developer of the Year for CD Projekt RED. This was undoubtedly the most popular and critically acclaimed video game of last year. But where is the merchandise? The Witcher is a popular multi-media franchise, so it would make sense if there were some collectibles, statues and even action figures for the game. Maybe not ones you would buy at Toys ‘R Us, but it’s not uncommon to see some nice collectible style action figures, statues, replica items or other various high-end, premium collectibles for the game. Well it looks like Dark Horse Deluxe is finally going to put a change to all of that.
At this week’s New York Toy Fair, Dark Horse Deluxe officially announced a new partnership with CD Projekt RED to produce some a new high-end product line based on The Witcher that will debut starting this fall. The product line will include action figures, busts, statues, prop replicas, jewelry, barware and even stationary. More than anything, Dark Horse Deluxe is promising a nice set of action figures for fans and collectors.
Speaking on the announcement, CD Projekt RED business development manager Rafal Jaki stated: “We are truly excited to bring the Witcher 3 characters to life! Wild Hunt fans requested figures of Geralt, Ciri, Yen, and other collectibles multiple times, and now, thanks to this cooperation, we’re finally able to fulfill these requests without putting an arm and a leg on the price tag. I truly hope Witcher fans notice all the love and the excellent craftsmanship put into creating them!”
The first line of action figures based on The Witcher games will feature Geralt of Rivia, Triss Merigold and Yennefer of Vengerberg. These will be followed by Ciri and Eredin, King of the Wild Hunt. The figures will be designed to each character’s likeness, feature custom painting and be displayed in deluxe window box packaging. It seems they will have a hefty price tag though at $29.99 a pop.
Action figures based on The Witcher franchise is fantastic, and I hope they look as good as they are being hyped.
