Shadow of Hope Gets First Update

Indie developer Whitemoon Games teased Shadow of Hope – the first major update of the year for Broken Ranks. The update is expected on January 25 and will feature “completely new content.”. There is only a brief teaser trailer to accompany the upcoming update. The team promises more information in the days leading up to its release.

Testers have stated that the game was playable and enjoyable, but there were also plenty of technical difficulties. However, the feedback from these tests has proven invaluable to Whitemoon Games.

Broken Ranks’ UI wasn’t originally designed for mobile, so the team had to offer two movement options – a traditional screen tap and a joystick. In terms of end results, both approaches were split between testers and developers, which suggests they will both be available in future versions, giving users flexibility.
