The first update to RuneScape was released by Jagex today adding new combat skills to the games.
With today’s Necromancy update, Jagex added RuneScape’s first combat skill in 20 years. Players can channel their inner darkness and enhance gameplay in the MMO.
The new skill allows players to channel their inner darkness and reshape RuneScape’s gameplay. Nine new quests and two new boss fights are included in the new Necromancy update.
In this update, players will be taken deep into Gielinor’s underworld to Free the Undead in the City of Um. You will be able to take advantage of the new class, which is fairly easy to pick up and play, but also challenging enough for those who are looking for more of a challenge.
According to Jagex, this is just the start of the adventure, and more content will be added in the future. A new Halloween event is also planned, which seems fitting following a zombie-themed update
In the months ahead, Jagex promises to launch a new Halloween event, which is pretty appropriate following an update all about the undead.
Combat is an integral part of RuneScape, allowing players to defeat monsters to obtain dropped items or complete quests. Combat levels describe how powerful a player or NPC can be when fighting.
RuneScape is a fantasy massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed and published by Jagex, released in January 2001. While most virtual games are regularly closed due to financial constraints or developers unwilling to foot the bill of necessary renovations, Runescape Classic has a different story.
According to the developer, the game closed doors due to the lack of compatible community safety tools and a growing list of catastrophic bugs. Runescape is one of the longest surviving MMORPG games and although the number of new players joining has decreased, it is still a very popular game.
