Rocket League Devs Talk Development For Switch!

by on August 21, 2017

Just how committed is Psyonix to making Rocket League for Switch? What was some of the challenges making it?

Rocket League was one of the biggest surprises for Nintendo Switch during E3 2017, and ever since then, players have been wanting to know more about what it’s been like making the popular title for the Switch. Well,  Psyonix vice president Jeremy Dunham was on the Nintendo Voice Chat show, and shared some interesting insight.

For example, Psyonix wasn’t sure about bringing Rocket League to Switch at first. It took not only fans asking for it to make it happen, but also chats with Nintendo themselves about what whether it would truly work or not. And interestingly enough, the game wasn’t “finalized” for development until April of this year.

Another interesting note is that Psyonix believes that the Pro Controller for the Switch is the best way to play the game, as the Joy-Cons weren’t the best option during development for the game. However, Rocket League will work fine with them.
