Ravendawn Sets New Record
Tavernlight Studios is celebrating new milestones after Ravendawn launched, with 70k Discord users and both servers reaching capacity. The team continues to work on several issues, fixes, and bans for exploiting a ship bug.
Several cases have been investigated and players involved in this exploit were banned, some permanently. Others received 7-day or 3-day bans, usually for getting the advantage without using it intentionally.
Tavernlight has partnered with a middleman to help protect consumers who are purchasing or selling land. This is a security measure, but the team has used it to help counter house or land scammers. You should remain cautious, but providing verifiable proof will help.
The servers have reached their maximum capacity this week, so there is potential for further growth, but nothing solid yet. There is a new patch that reduces a few other potential exploits/ One notable one is that you will not be able to summon a wagon in the middle of combat now.
In addition, there were other changes to wagons in PVP, including the fact that destroying a wagon will no longer result in infamy if the owner is a PK. The identification of someone as PK for killing a wagon while defending has also been fixed.
Looking for Group messages can now be sent and disabled from the channel. Level 15 is now the minimum level to send messages. Land taxes have been fixed, and they should now work accordingly. Several Wurns have been adjusted with more damage and stats.
Ravendawn has been able to fix most of the issues that were created by intentional bug exploitations on the server. It remains to see how the new bans and restrictions will playout as more players swarm the ne MMORPG. Our hope is that they will pan out, and slowly but surely reach a calm.
