Pokemon Go Has Launched In New Zealand And Australia!

by on July 6, 2016

The awaited release of Pokemon GO has begun, however, at current, only two countries have access to it: New Zealand and Australia. Other regions, via posts on Twitter, have stated they can’t find the app on their android and iOS devices. Meaning that a full worldwise release has not occurred yet.

Nintendo has not made a statement about the region release, but it’s very likely one will occur soon. It was stated at E3 by Shigeru Miyamoto that Pokemon GO would release in July, but he did not state that it would be a worldwide universal release. Potentially, Nintendo is segmenting the launch to ensure no major bugs are found upon launch before releasing into the major territories.

The logo is pretty smart, I'll give props to that! 😀 I can't wait for the full worldwide release of Pokemon GO, the game seems like a lot of fun.

It's interesting that it launched in Australia and New Zealand first. It's kind of similar to what happened with the New 3DS. I wonder why Nintendo has done this with their console and now with this game. Nonetheless, we can patiently wait. It states that the two games aren't available on the iOS or Android stores in others regions. Maybe we can change the location of our devices and perhaps get an early access?

I think it's out everywhere or mostly everywhere at this point? I'm in the states and able to play to it.

The game is pretty fun, it's not a traditional Pokemon game really, but it does a fair amount of interesting and cool things and it's worth checking out.

Not a fan of this title myself but my nephew is nuts for it and I'm sure he will thank me a lot for finding this for him. Thanks for sharing this with us I'm sure he will love this game and hopefully it's out now for my country too.
