by on February 9, 2016

Daum Games has officially announced today that opened name reservations are now open to Black Desert Online for all pre-order holders. This means that gamers can now start reserving names starting at 6:00PM UTC. They can start reserving names at this link. Players have until February 26 to place pre-orders for the game’s three available packages.

In addition, the game is going to have a second Closed Beta Test starting later this month starting on February 18 at 8:00 am UTC and ending on February 22 at the same time. Players can get access to this beta test by pre-ordering Black Desert Online’s Explorer or Conqueror packages, and that automatically enters players into the second Closed Beta Test. Sign-ups for the beta are also still open.

Daum Games has made a number of changes for the Second Closed Beta after taking in feedback from the community. Here’s a breakdown for some of the new changes and features for the second beta test:

  • Revamped Karma system, which balances player kills and death penalties
  • Addition of voiceovers
  • French and German localization
  • Addition of tutorial videos
  • Adjustments to experience gain
  • Maximum player level of 55
  • Improved user interface

The individual character creator is also available to download ahead of time. Black Desert Online is set to launch on March 3. You can also watch the latest gameplay trailer for Black Desert Online, “The Manifestation,” in the player below.
