New V Rising Dev Update
In a new Dev Update, Stunlock Studios offers players a look at many new armor sets and customization options in V Rising. This includes a new tier of armor, weapons, and artifacts, which incorporates player feedback
As a result, players will have more options when it comes to putting together equipment sets that fit their playstyles. Many of these new armor sets cater to various combat specialties, such as brute, warrior, rogue, and scholar.
In addition, the enhanced equipment menu allows players to transmog their gear, changing an item’s appearance to another. Players can also customize items using 31 different color palettes.
Another notable addition to these changes is a “comprehensive rebalancing” that has been made to legendary weapons. Shards instead of buildings will become powerful necklaces that grant powerful stats and buffs, as well as a new ability to enhance them.
Players build both their vampires’ strength and their castles’ strength in V Rising. In endgame PvP battles, you often fight people who have Shards, which are buildings inside your castle that grant buffs.
In 1.0, shards will be necklaces instead of buildings. They’ll provide the same effects, but if you wear one and gain its buffs, other players may defeat you in PvP and steal it. You’ll need to recharge its energy via events in V Rising’s new final zone.
“It’s our hope that this encourages a more active and exciting experience for everyone while also providing interesting perks and innovative gameplay for Vampires who like to play it a bit more friendly,” says the blog post. “You might not like PvP, but you probably DO like a novel piece of gear with exciting abilities!”
The first announcement of the 1.0 release mentioned upgrades to Stunlock’s engine, and the post details the new lighting for 1.0. You can read more on the updates at the studio website.
