Monsters and Memories Gets Ready for Public Playtest
The old-school inspired MMORPG Monsters & Memories is preparing for its public playtest this weekend, and the team shares some of what to expect. There is a new trailer showing off some of what you can explore in the game. Features include character creation, exploring the world, and some of the beasts and monsters that will inhabit it.
Starting at 1 p.m. Eastern on December 9th, the test will last for 34 hours uninterrupted until 11:00 p.m. Eastern on Sunday night. Players can test out the game and explore the globe during the test.
In addition, it’s a chance for the team to show off how far they’ve come in development and stress test the servers. There will be at least two servers, one in the US and one in the EU. If there’s enough demand, they might add more.
In their website post with the guidelines around the test, the studio said: “This session should be about having fun and enjoying the game” so you shouldn’t feel like you need to go looking for bugs. For the devs, “We’ll gather some good data and keep an eye out for your videos and feedback”.
Videos and feedback are welcome. Feel free to stream, record, and share images and details about your experiences during the test. Characters created during previous tests will continue to be available.
During this test, all of your characters will remain at their highest level. The team has plans to release a major update in early January that will combine the updates from November and December.
Their findings from this test should help them with any final improvements or polishing before the servers are launched. You can register here to participate if you have not already done so. Getting in now will allow players to familiarize themselves with the new world ahead of the gameplay.
