Mass Effect Andromeda’s Release Window Has Been Revealed! Find Out When It’s Due Here!

by on January 29, 2016

According to a report by Gamespot, Electronic Arts has narrowed down its release windows for some of its biggest titles. This includes Mass Effect Andromeda, the next installment of the Mass Effect franchise. EA is now looking at its release periods for the next releases in its biggest franchises, which are Mass Effect, Titanfall and Battlefield. The news was revealed by EA CFO Blake Jorgensen during a conference call with investors this week.

Per Jorgensen, EA is hoping to have the major titles launch in the second half of the fiscal year. That comes out to a period of October 2016 to March 2017. So Mass Effect Androma is slated for a release somewhere in that time frame. The last Mass Effect game, Mass Effect 3, came out in March 2012.

Speaking on the release window, Jorgensen stated: “You should assume that a Battlefield will come typically in the third quarter, when we normally have it. We’re not yet announcing when Titanfall or Mass Effect Andromeda will come, but you should assume that’s in the back half of the year as well because the second quarter [July-September] is so dominated by our sports titles.”

The official release date for Mass Effect Andromeda will be revealed later on. Andromeda will explore a new galaxy in the Mass Effect Universe. The game is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. You can check out the announcement trailer for the game in the player below.
