The wait for the upcoming Wii U version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is nearly over. Nintendo released a new story trailer for the upcoming HD remaster of the classic game, which you can check out the in the player below. The trailer offers a good look of the game’s enhanced graphics and visuals.
One of the more exciting features for the game is that it will offer players compatibility with their collection of Zelda-themed Amiibo figurines. The Link, Toon Link, Zelda, Ganondorf and Sheik are all compatible with the game. Not to mention, there will also be a new Wolf Link Amiibo packed with the game.
On top of that, some type of progress saved on Amiibos from this game will actually carry over to the next installment on The Legend of Zelda franchise that’s in development for the Wii U. More details on the long awaited Zelda Wii U game will be revealed later on.
Twilight Princess getting a fresh coat of paint definitely looks impressive, and it’s a good way for Nintendo to keep building momentum after a couple of rough years. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was announced to be receiving an HD upgrade last November during that month’s Nintendo Direct, along with the Wolf Link Amiibo. It’s scheduled for release for the Wii U in Europe and North America on March 4. The HD version will arrive in Japan on March 10.
