Mass Effect: Andromeda Delayed To Q1 2017

by on March 2, 2016

During an investor call today, noted by Eurogamer, EA has stated that Mass Effect: Andromeda, the highly anticipated return of the Mass Effect series, has been pushed back to Q1 2017. This is the period between January and March of next year.

This will shock some, as EA has been pushing Andromeda hype wise for a while now, however, this push still technically puts it into their fourth quarter in regards to their financial year, so it’s not as hard as a hit to them as it is to gamers.

Very little is known about Andromeda, outside of the fact that it’ll take place far away from the events of the original trilogy, star a new set of characters, and is set many years after the Shepherd Saga. Even with this delay though, we should find out more this year.

Oh Man! That is a bummer. Maybe they faced technical issues with development or something. I was looking forward to ME Andromeda. Anyways, I just hope its awesome when it does come out.

I'm so happy to hear this…the rate at which they're releasing stuff is so obviously the product of them skimping on quality. ME has been getting sloppy production quality and it seems like they're finally doubling down on quality over quickness
