by on April 28, 2016

Nintendo announced in an official press release this week that Fire Emblem Fates will receive new DLC maps starting next month. The first new map for the Map Pack 2 content will be available starting May 5 for the Nintendo 3DS game.

The new DLC includes map, I: In Endless Dreams, which will be available for $0.49 on May 5. Subsequent maps will be launched for the game weekly until June 9. The other maps will be available for $1.99 each.

Fans can automatically receive all the new maps as they are released by purchasing Map Pack 2 for $7.99. It will save players a little money since all the content priced separately comes out to about $10. Players who purchased I: In Endless Dream can still buy the Map Pack 2 for the discounted price.

The new Map Pack 2 content will feature an ongoing story narrative. Other versions of the Hoshidan and Nohrian children are under attack across dimensions. These fledgling warriors now have to ascend and save their lives and their parents while they try to solve the mystery of their enemies. The story will be told over the course of six maps. Units that are leveled up in the main game cannot lend support.

Here’s the full list and launch dates for the new DLC maps along with their respective prices:

  • May 5-June 9 – Map Pack 2 ($7.99)
  • May 5 – I: In Endless Dreams (49 cents)
  • May 12 – II: Realms Collide ($1.99)
  • May 19 – III: The Changing Tide ($1.99)
  • May 26 – IV: Light’s Sacrifice ($1.99)
  • June 2 – V: Endless Dawn ($1.99)
  • June 9 – End: Lost in the Waves ($1.99)

In addition, there will be a bonus item, Another Gift From Anna, that will be available as a free download on May 5. This item will offer players the Boots and Paragon items. The Gift From Anna will be available for players who currently own Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright or Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest games.
