The file size for The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine has been revealed. Not only that, the game will launch with a day one patch as well. Gamespot reports that CD Projekt RED has confirmed that the file size for the upcoming story expansion for the game will be be 10-15 GB. That will be the expansion size. The patch that goes live with the expansion will be smaller in size.
That’s more than double and possibly three times the size of the Hearts of Stone expansion. Hearts of Stone’s file size was 3.5 GB for the PlayStation 4 and 4.73 GB for the Xbox One. Blood and Wine is supposed to be a bigger expansion, as it will feature a completely new region to explore and over 30 hours of gameplay time.
CD Projekt RED’s Marcin Momot also commented on the file sizes on Twitter, which you can check out below. The final piece of DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is only just a coupe of weeks away. The limited edition for PlayStation 4 will only be available at GameStop int he United States.
The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine finally arrives later this month. The final expansion and adventure of Geralt of Rivia arrives on May 31 for Xbox One, PlayStation and Windows PC.
