Find Out the Release Period for Dark Souls 3’s First DLC!

by on April 15, 2016

The first indication for when fans can expect the first piece of downloadable contend for Dark Souls 3 has been revealed by the publisher of the hit FromSoftware franchise. Bandai Namco Games (h/t via VideoGamer) has officially announced the release window for the first post-launch DLC for Dark Souls 3, along with the second. The first piece of post-launch DLC will be available later this autumn. The second will likely not be available until 2017.

A final release date was not revealed or the exact nature of the DLC, but it will come out sometime this fall. A previous description for the Dark Souls III Season Pass indicates DLC that will feature new maps, bosses enemies and additional weapon and armor sets. It does also promise two DLC packs. Here’s the official description for the Season Pass:

“Challenge yourself with new maps, bosses, enemies, and additional weapon and armor sets. Prepare yourself once more and embrace the darkness.”

So fans will have plenty of time to get acquainted to the main game before the next DLC comes out. Hopefully, Bandai Namco will give a better idea of what they have planned for the DLC soon. Dark Souls 3 was released earlier this week. It’s available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The Season Pass is available for $25.
