Final Fantasy Lifts Restrictions as Launch Nears
Square Enix has lifted multiple gameplay restrictions in Final Fantasy XIV now that the story arc has reached its climax, allowing players to enjoy their remaining time on Eorzea before its Dawntrail expansion this summer takes them to another continent.
Pandaemonium: Anabaseios’ weekly loot limit, entry limit, and restrictions were removed in yesterday’s update, giving players the ability to farm tomestones at their leisure.
As a result, the Thaleia raid has been added to the Alliance Raids duty roulette, and parallel instances of Old Sharlayan, Radz-at-Han, and Thavnair have now been disabled.
Players will also have an increased chance of winning Fields of Glory battles because they will receive more data from killing enemies, and the amount needed to win will be reduced.
Square Enix is getting ready to launch open beta testing for its Xbox Series X|S version on February 21, which will operate similarly to the PC free trial.
As the studio hasn’t mentioned anything about existing players creating new accounts to get in, you can probably get away with it if you want to try the next-gen console version or eventually make the switch.
In addition, a new version of the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo is due on 21st February, which will include a section of Junon’s area in the demo, in addition to improving the visuals of the full game.
The performance mode is noticeably blurrier than Graphics mode in comparison to the crisp 4K of Performance mode. Square Enix appears to be working hard to fix this before the game is released on 29th February.
Notably, a demo of the game was shown at Sony’s recent State of Play event dedicated to Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. The result is amazing. Since then players have been arguing about the yellow paint, while also making creative piano covers for in-game pianos.
