A select group of players will be picked for the game’s Closed Alpha later this summer. Escape From Tarkov is a story-driven MMO that features both FPS and RPG elements. The game will be set in the Russian City of Tarkov, which is now sealed by roadblocks and has descended into chaos due to local warfare between private military companies. The game uses the Hazardous Environment Combat Simulator for a number of custom system modules to create an immersive gameplay experience.
