Valve’s Steam website has compiled a list of some of the top best-selling games on Windows PC on Steam for 2016. One of the most controversial games of the year in No Man’s Sky still became one of the top sellers of last year, despite all the controversy and negative surrounding the game’s after its launch.

Steam divided its list of best sellers into rankings of Platinum, Gold, Silver, Silver and Bronze. Among the Platinum sellers besides No Man’s Sky were The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, dark Souls 3, XCOM 2, Fallout 4, Civilization VI, Grand Theft Auto V, Rocket League, Tom Clancy’s The Division, Total War: Warhammer, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and Dota 2. The bestsellers were measured by their gross revenue.

Notable titles for the Gold sellers were Arma 3, Stellaris, Doom, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Stardew Valley, Dead by Daylight, King of the Hill, Rainbow Six: Siege, Ark: Survival Evolved, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Warframe and Team Fortress 2. You can see the full list here. Many of the top sellers are on sale right now, if you’re interested.

All in all, there weren’t a lot of surprise sellers in the Platinum group. Despite its rampant controversy, the hype and anticipation for No Man’s Sky was huge. With that in mind, it’s not surprising the game sold very well, at least at first. No Man’s Sky is currently available for PlayStation 4 and Windows PC. The Witcher 3 is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
