TopWare Interactive and Reality Pump Studios officially announced today that Two Worlds III is in development. This will be the third part in the hit RPG Two Worlds series. The game is currently in the concept stage, and it’s due out in about 36 months. That puts the game’s release period to about 2019. More details will be announced soon.

However, for fans who are not as keen on waiting for three years for the franchise’s return, the studios also confirmed that Two Worlds II is going to receive a major engine update. In addition, the game will receive eight new multiplayer maps and two new single-player DLCs. Those DLC packs are titled Call of the Tenebrae and Shattered Embrace.

Two Worlds II: Call of the Tenebrae is due out in the second quarter of this year. It will focus on the Hero’s return to Antaloor, where he sees the murder of Darpha. The killers are a tribe of rat-like creatures called The Chosen, who control mysterious magic. Their plot threatens all the living creatures of Antaloor, so the Hero has to stop them.

Regarding the new engine update, it will allow a higher level of character and landscape detail for the game, an HD-GUI, new in-game achievements, co-op multiplayer and new in-game features and upgrades.  More details on the new DLC and update for Two Worlds II will be revealed soon at this link.
