NetEase Studio has created a new IP known as T-Minus Zero Entertainment. The company is based in Austin, Texas, and will incorporate all games and gaming projects created by the studio.
According to a post published by NetEase, this is the very first project that the company will undertake and they hoped to land a soul-winning first impression. It described the project as “an ambitious, third-person online multiplayer action game set in a sci-fi universe” and based on an original IP’.
Nonetheless, the company seems to be hard sold on delivering quality as demonstrated in hiring its first personnel. NetEase has chosen Rich Vogel to head up the new IP operation. Vogel was hyped about his appointment stating that:
“Our studio’s mission is to create epic, immersive worlds where players from around the globe can play together, forming vibrant and passionate communities,”
In addition, the studio has hired three important leading personnel with over ten years of experience in their respective fields.
- Game Director, Mark Tucker
- Art Director Jeff Dobson
- Scott Malone as producer
Moreover, Simon Zhu who serves as NetEase president, is overly satisfied with the appointments and expressed his aspirations in a detailed release.
“T-Minus Zero Entertainment has been built with an inspiring roster of talented veterans with unparalleled industry knowledge and the passion to create wholly original gaming experiences. NetEase Games strongly believes in empowering creators with the ability to build games that will inspire players and evolve over time with its community. We can’t wait to share more of what Rich and the team are working on, and we’ll make every effort to help them grow”.
All though it is very early to hint at expectations, the base team has what it takes to navigate a successful gaming IP. Their combined experience should easily transform into achievements.
