A new tune will form the background in Tarisland when it rolls out its second beta test this November. The studio is bringing award-winning composer Russek Brower to the in-game music experience.
According to the announcement, Brower’s involvement in Tarisland is more than just an appearance. His themes will be heard throughout the game, each taking shape and inspiration from the various regions
“Brower’s epic, original themes will reflect the different regions of Tarisland, and accompany players on their heroic adventures and colorful travels through the lands of Taris,” the team announced.
As a fantasy MMORPG with its own lore, several different civilizations, cultures, and biomes, Brower and the development team will be taking a musical journey that is sure to be varied. Given his previous work, the collaboration should be a natural fit.
Among Brower’s many credits is his music for World of Warcraft – the theme, “Invincible”, from The Wrath of the Lich King is considered one of his best works. Along with other franchises owned by Blizzard Entertainment.
The work he has done includes music for Diablo, StarCraft, and Hearthstone. He was a senior audio director at Blizzard until 2017 and has also worked on other games, as well as on television. His sound design work has won 3 Emmy Awards.
With him on board, we’ll see more of Tarisland’s new partnership as the game enters its second closed beta test. The test will allow PC and Android players to try their hand at a cross-platform MMORPG
There will be players from Europe, Asia, and the Americas participating in the test, which features five supported languages (English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish).
Although the game will be entering its second vata test this November, gamers are still flocking to the MMORPG. Tarisland is currently set for release in Q1 2024 on PC, Android, and iOS.
