Summer Game Fest Preview Trailer
As Summer Game Fest approaches, many speculate about the world premieres we are likely to see. Yet, the creator and host Geoff Keighley wants to reign in some expectations.
In the lead-up to Summer Game Fest 2024, a two-hour opening night showcase will be held this Friday. A series of announcements and showcases will follow throughout the weekend.
The creator of Summer Game Fest and The Game Awards, Keighley, shared more on the Twitch channel. He pointed out that the show won’t be a premiere marathon, but rather will focus on existing games with new announcements.
In his stream, he reminds fans that the Game Awards include several new game announcements, as well as the drone of “World Premieres” throughout the festivities. Consequently, the different angles of each show make them more relevant each season.
In addition, Keighley revealed games that will not be at SGF, despite fans’ desire for them. Games such as Kingdom Hearts 4, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, and others will not be there. However, some surprises such as Monster Hunter Wilds and a few others will be getting their spotlight.
Due to its Nintendo Direct later this month, Nintendo is absent from Summer Game Fest. Xbox and PlayStation, on the other hand, are both present. Some Switch games may, however, be there thanks to third-party developers and publishers.
With MMO expansions, early access launches, and MMORPG early access launches already planned for this summer, it will be exciting to see what else will be revealed during the show
Summer Game Fest begins on Friday, June 7, and runs through June 10. Opening night is, of course, on Friday, and if you wish to watch it, you can tune in via The Game Awards YouTube channel. For those of you in the UK, it begins at 22:00, which is 14:00 PT.
