The Deus Ex series has had an interesting couple of years. Deus Ex: Human Revolution seemed to bring back the long down franchise and put a modern-era twist on things, with great results. And its sequel, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, had quite a lot of hype going into its release. However, that hype didn’t last, as the game very much underperformed, making Square Enix and developer Eidos halt the work on the next title.
And yet, if game industry insider Jim Sterling is anything to go by, that’s not exactly true. Sterling notes in the latest episode of his podcast The Jimquisition, that work on the next Deus Ex game is still happening. This is interesting as Eidos is supposed to be working on two games for Marvel, so you have to wonder not only if this is true, but if it is, just how many of the Eidos team are working on it?
Naturally, these are only rumors about the game, and should be taken with a grain of salt.
