Final Fantasy 14 Partners with Mountain Dew Gaming Program
A collaboration between Final Fantasy 14 and Mountain Dew Gaming Program has recently been announced. This means that one of the biggest MMORPGs in the world has now reached the status of a true gamer. The partnership was alive on a recent Live Letter.
This rewards program works in a similar way to every other PepsiCo gaming rewards program. You collect caps, earn points, and then redeem them for prizes on the Mountain Dew Gaming Program Market before the program ends in mid-July.
There is only one piece of merch that fans would love. It is a tee that reads “I DRANK DEW” in the style of the real life Battle Challenge tees. Similar to the ones given to competitors’ trials at events like PAX and Japan’s Fanfest.
Aside from clothing swag, there are a number of cool items that fans would buy regardless of a promotion. For example, there are keycaps and desk mats themed after the new classes, Pictomancer and Viper.
In this year’s “Marketplace,” you can purchase figurines, plushies, in-game rewards, and even the Starter Edition of A Realm Reborn. If you’ve been collecting codes this year, you can carry them over.
In the Mountain Dew Marketplace, you’ll find FFXIV merch alongside the usual gaming rewards, such as:
- an Xbox card,
- a PC speaker clock,
- bomber jackets, a mini-fridge,
- a fidget popper shaped like a controller, and a drone kit.
Hopefully, these reward points will carry over after the promotion for generic Dew and Xbox stuff. So if you’re a dewlord like me, there’s always something on the other side.
Despite split opinions, Mountain Dew addicts like us will thrive in these kinds of conditions. That’s okay, though, since it was designed to be mixed with whiskey, not consumed on its own. it’s time to give that Mountain Dew program a try.
