Bethesda Softworks officially announced today the details for the Fallout 4 Modding and Creation Kit programs. These new features are also available now in open beta for Windows PC. This new feature will allow players to browse and search for the latest and best mods for the game and to choose their favorites.
Fallout 4 gamers can also use this program to post feedback and install them, and it’s available completely in-game. This can be accessed by selecting “Mods” from the main menu to start browsing.
The Creation Kit is the same tool that was used to make Fallout 4. The Creation Kit will be a free download at Bethesda’s website. In addition, Bethesda plans to update and change the programs based on community feedback. The programs are part of the 1.5 Update, which players can access in Steam Beta by following these steps:
- Log into Steam
- Right Click on Fallout 4 in your Library
- Select Settings
- Select Betas
- A drop down menu will appear. Select beta
- Select OK
- Wait a few minutes and Fallout 4 should update
- When done, Fallout 4 should appear as Fallout 4 [Beta] in your Library
Mods will be available for the Xbox One later in May and PlayStation 4 in June for Fallout 4. You can also check out a new video on the new Modding and Creation Kit programs below.
