Everquest Launches New Servers with Teaser
Gaming Studio EverQuest, has released two new Time-Locked Progression servers, Teek and Tormax. Members can choose to roll new characters and begin their adventures on a traditional TLP server. Optionally, they can introduce randomness into their experience in Norrath. Tormax uses a more traditional ruleset.
Notably, Teek has a few changes to the rule set. The server will start in Ruins of Kunark, with an identical unlock cadence. Expansions will go live every 8-12 weeks. It will run slower than live, but it is faster than the original EverQuest release.
Teek is a free-trade server with random loot. Rare NPCs drop loot that can be sourced from pools of similar-level NPCs within the same expansion. If you’re an Everquest fan and want to shake things up, this is your server.
The loot pool also includes themselves, so the surprise might only be loot you might expect from that NPC. On the other hand, it could be something entirely different.
The idea of farming a particular boss for certain pieces or to complete sets is gone on Teek. However, you can get set pieces from other NPCs that you might have only been able to obtain from one.
Initially, both Teek and Tormax will use Ture Box rules, but will eventually switch to Relaxed True Box and eventually remove True Box altogether. There will also be two new Bag Bundles. Tormax’s Tyrannical Bundle will include Tormax’s Tyrannical Trunk (a 40-slot bag).
Teek’s Tournament Bundle comes with Teek’s Tournament Trunk (40-slot bag), 5x Bottle of Adventure II, 5x Token of Challenged Resurrection, 1x Bottle of Clarity Pack, 1x Bottle of Alacrity Pack, and 1x Bottle of Speed.
EverQuest is celebrating its anniversary and has released both servers to further improve the gameplay experience. Players can delve into the immersive MMORPG and test-drive the environment.
