Elder Scrolls Online Gets Huge Update
ZeniMax Online Studios wants players to test the first Elder Scrolls Online update before it launches. Scions of Ithelia and update 41 are both available for testing on a public test server, and ZeniMax is asking for feedback.
We can expect two new dungeons with up to three new boss encounters, as well as three new armor sets, each with a monster. Also, a new skin is being added entitled The Bloodmarks of Malacath, which is a flaming red demon-like skin.
In line with previous updates, Zenimax has tested Scions of Ithelia, Update 41, and Update 40 on the PTS. The PTS is only available on PC/Mac mega servers, so console players are not able to test.
Take part in the public test by heading to the Settings menu on your PC or Mac, then toggle “Show Public Test Environment.” You can download the test server and use “/feedback” in chat to give feedback and “/bug” in chat to reveal any issues.
This year’s Elder Scrolls Online events will take place in the West Weald, a region situated between Cyrodiil, Craglorn, and the Gold Coast, with Skingrad serving as its hub. A thousand years before The Elder Scrolls IV, Skingrad was showcased in detail. This will allow Zenimax to stretch their creativity to visualize the city and surrounding region as they were a thousand years before.
It would be interesting to see similar themes in Gold Road, given that the influx of Vampires was a problem during TESIV: Oblivion. Who knows how long Janus Hassildor lived in and around Gold Road before taking over the city as its ruler?
Short of certainty, but this seems like a good nod to the history of the series and could serve as a connection point between ESO and TESIV, although it might be a stretch given that Greymoor had a vampire-themed Chapter just a few years ago.
