The Deus Ex video game franchise is getting things started for E3 a little earlier this year. Square Enix has officially announced on Twitter that there’s going to be Deus Ex Universe Pre-E3 Showcase this year. The event is set for June 8, and it will be streamed live on Twitch at 11:30 am EDT. Gamers can check out the event at the Deus Ex Twitch Channel.
The showcase will feature an exclusive gameplay demo for the upcoming Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. However, the announcement also mentions showing off “new projects” for the Deus Ex franchise. What that could entail could be a mystery. Maybe they are planning to announce a movie or maybe some supplementary tie-in material for the upcoming sequel. It should be interesting to see what Square Enix and Eidos have planned for the franchise. CBS Films started development on a Deus Ex movie in 2014, with Michael Finch writing a script. Other writers had worked on a film version before, but it never got off the ground.
It seems something like a web-series or even an animated movie would potentially work as a better fit for the Deus Ex Universe, but that’s just speculation. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is due out on August 23 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.

I'm very hyped for this game. Human Revolution was a ton of fun to play and this game seems more of that but better.
