Chillin’ in Another World MMORPG to Launch Worldwide

In conjunction with Miya Kinojo’s Chillin’ in Another World with Level 2 Super Cheat Powers light novel series, a browser-based MMORPG is to be released. Pre-registration is now open ahead of a global release.

At the start, players can choose from four different types of heroes before venturing out to enjoy life in the fantasy world. Once the 50,000 pre-registration mark is achieved, it will trigger in-game bonuses.

The Storyline and World

As the ongoing onslaught against his kingdom continues, the leader of one of the last standing worlds looks outside. In their war against the Dark One and his army of powerful demons, the Magical Kingdom of Klyrode summons hundreds of heroes from other worlds every year.

Many heroes have risen to the challenge but all have failed. The magical kingdom is distressed and must now face another attack, which it fears it may lose. An old prophecy identifies the mystical being who could change it all. And so begins his quest.

The story of Banaza begins with him being summoned from the Royal Capital Paluma, but something doesn’t seem right—he’s just an average merchant without any magic or fighting ability, and his stats are nothing to write home about.

It gets worse. A mishap prevents him from returning home! He is rejected as a hero and abandoned in the far reaches of the kingdom by the cruel king who simply wants to get rid of him. He is unaware of his destiny and does not believe in any special prophecies about him.

It appears that Banaza’s fate is pretty grim. But what will happen once he becomes a level two hero and gains super cheat powers?

Japanese light novel series Chillin’ in Another World with Level 2 Super Cheat Powers is written by Miya Kinojo and illustrated by Katagiri. The series was initially serialized on the user-generated novel publication website Shōsetsuka ni Narō between 2016 and 2019.
