Battleborn Motion Comic Series Completed! Check Them Out Here!
Gearbox Software has now released all three parts of the Battleborn motion comic series. You can watch all three chapters of the prequel story to the game in the players below.
The story for these motion comics sets the stage for the upcoming game and its main story campaign. It follows how Penarch was ultimately destroyed. Penarch is the second to last star in the universe, and the game features the Battleborn banding together to protect the last star from Lothar Rendain, the leader of the Jennerit Imperium, and the Varelsi.
The second episode is the most fun, featuring a battle as the heroes of the United Peacekeeping Republic take on an army of Varelsi creatures basically by themselves. It’s also really runny. Finally, episode three showcases the rise of Trevor Ghalt to the leadership role of the Battleborn.
The story seems a lot more straightforward and digestible than Destiny. Destiny’s story is very ambitious, but it left too many threads untied. Plus the humor and comedy makes it look like a lot o fun. So many ideas were introduced that were not really addressed or developed. Battleborn finally hits the shelves on May 3. The game will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
