Monster Hunter Generations has just received its official launch date today from Capcom. The new game, for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, will arrive on July 15. The New Nintendo 3DS XL Monster Hunter Generations Edition also launches on the same day.
The New Nintendo 3DS XL Monster Hunter Generations Edition features a blue hue and has artwork from the game’s Fated Four, the elite group of powerful monsters. The new edition features fluid camera control options, C-stick functionality, and mappable ZL and ZR buttons for the Hunter Arts. Unfortunately, the game will need to be purchased separately from the new hardware.
The game features 20 different hunting locations, solo or via local and online co-op play with up to three other hunts, and a new crafting system. Players will be able to craft better weapons and items using collected items from their hunts, and that will also open up paths for more dangerous quests. There will also be four different Hunting Styles and powerful abilities known as Hunter Arts.
In addition, Capcom will release a playable demo ahead of the July 15 launch date. The demo will be available at the Nintendo eShop sometime later this summer. The details on the demo will be released later on.
