The Division Is Getting a Live-Action Prequel! Check Out the First Trailer Here!

by on January 19, 2016

Tom Clancy’s The Division is definitely one of Ubisoft’s biggest and most anticipated game releases for the year. As a result, Ubisoft is going to be putting out some additional content for the launch, along with a live-action web series called Tom Clancy’s The Division: Agent Origins. You can check out the first preview for the Agent Origins prequel below.

According to Ubisoft, Agent Origins will follow the lives of four agents of The Division who have been activated and have to head into the danger of New York City in the wake of a terrifying pandemic. The series was created by Ubisoft in collaboration with CorridorDigital, RocketJump and Devin Supertramp. Agent Origins will be released in four parts, but a final release date has not yet been revealed.

Based on the trailers, it looks like this show will set up the events of the game, and put you in the point-of-view of several Division agents. It looks like the start of the virus being released in New York will be depicted to some degree, or at least a look at society breaking down.

Tom Clancy’s The Division is finally scheduled for its long awaited release on March 8. The game is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
