7 Days to Die, a Fun Pimps’ open-world survival horror game, has finally moved out of early access and has released its first update (1.0). After more than ten years of testing and building, the game has finally hit the stores.
In a recent blog post announcing the game’s success, Fun Pimps thanked users for their support. The developer shared a full breakdown of the 1.0 patch notes, highlighted some upcoming key dates, and provided a roadmap for the near future.
In addition, the studio created a timeline outline for each step. These include:
- The developer will delist the Legacy Console Game from digital storefronts on July 15,
- The studio will release stable versions of 1.0 on Steam and Microsoft PC on July 25,
- The Fun Pimps will simultaneously release the Console Edition of 1.0 on July 25. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners who owned the Legacy Digital versions of the game on PS4 and Xbox One Telltale Edition will receive a 25% discount.

Notably, the studio made it clear that these dates were not set in stone and may be subjected to minor changes. However, the schedule will most likely flow as planned.
Furthermore, The Fun Pimps seems to have placed much in planning the full game launch. Other facets of the game plan will move us forward to Q4 of 2024. During this phase, the developer plans to revamp the weather system and biome progression.
In addition, the studio will add a wardrobe system, and integrate cross-play and random generation for consoles.
Nonetheless, these plans extend beyond 2024. As the new year rolls in, 2025 is scheduled to include two major updates, one for Q2 and the other for Q4. These updates will include bandits, a UI overhaul, event systems, updates for traders, a story mode, and more.
