I'm glad that my dog can't die, I already feel horrible when he gets injured. I seem to waste a lot of stimpaks healing him even though I shouldn't. Dogmeat has been an essential part of your journey through the Fallout games, I can't imagine parting with him. I also find him to be a lot more enjoyable than the other companions that you can get to follow you in game. Cogsworth is just annoying and he's not that useful in my opinion. Plus you can dress up Dogmeat in cool goggles.
Were there dogs in Skyrim though? I can't seem to remember them in there. I remember horses. And dragons. But, not dogs.
My God, I just checked this out and yes, there are dogs in Skyrim. I can't believe how many hours I poured into this game and I still couldn't remember this. Just goes to show you how freaking huge this game really is.
It is good that the companions in the game can't die. But isn't it fun to get an adrenaline rush when suddenly your companion is attacked and is gone?
