What was the very first RPG created?

    I've been wondering, as a fan of RPG for years I don't know what game was the very first RPG. Anyone knows, and how did it look and play?

    The first RPG were actually just text-based. The first was released in the mid 1970's. The most known was Rogue.

    I think the first real RPG was Akalabeth, designed by the guy who created the Ultima series. Rogue was among the first as well, as mentioned before.
