My ordered copy of the Metro 2033 novel finally arrived two days ago. I've already read seven chapters and I'm loving it so far. I highly recommend it to... anyone who likes to read! Fans of the game or post-apocalyptic/atmospheric things will especially adore it.
I agree! and while you'r at it, get the next book immediately after you've read the first one! (it's called "Metro 2034: the Defense of Sevastopolskaya", I think it's spelled) xD
Damn, I'm a slow reader. I've only read three thirteen chapters so far. xD Well, I have been trying to keep myself from reading more than one chapter a day so I can enjoy the book for longer.
Yes you're slow I readed about 60 pages a day with coffe and donuts I don't read books, but Metro 2033 is so awesome! Anyway, I'm little sad that he Metro 2034: Defense of Sevastopolska (right?) isn't about our young and brave Artyom... Cus, the next game will not be like the book... but I hope the Metro: Last Light will be awesome more or like the first game
Yea, it was a little bit of a dissapointment that Artiom wasn't in that much. but hey, it was a pretty good story anyway
That's true, but it's always hard to transfer almost 500 pages of words onto some moving images (movies/games). With that said, I think 4A Games did a fantastic job.
haha i remember wen i first read the book i was on vacation in russia. i was with my grandparents lying on the bed reading until it was 3 am in the morning. And when i finished the very last word of the book i litteraly cried. i was soooo sad that it ended.....
I've done that with a few books, reading till late in the morning, because it's just too good. I read the complete Narnia series in two days, just sitting all day reading.
I love reading, right now im re re re reading metro 2033 because i finished reading all of my books. this is like my 3rd or 4th time reading it.
I'm almost through my 2nd, and it's just awesome. I kinda ran out of books, too. Guess I'll go book hunting at a 2nd-hand book store or rehaunt the library one of these days. Any suggestions? (I'll go the library, and someone will be like "Look, a librarian", and I'll spin around screaming "Run! Run for your lives!' or "Just look them right in the eyes, everyone!" and everyone is looking at me like a dangerous crim or something... )
Well, I have strange tastes: I've read a ton of Stephen King, but I also like classics like Somerset Maughum and late 19th century humour (Three Men in a Boat, Nonsense Novels). But I'm also keen on fantasy novels (Dark Tower by Stephen King). But lately I haven't really found anything new or different. I'm open to anything, but something like Metro would be very epic. Post-Apocalyptic books are pretty interesting. One of my favorites is A Canticle for Leibowitz.
Try reading the northern lights by phillip pullman basically the golden compass, i read it about 10 years ago, when i was like 8 im not sure how appealing it would be to an older audience though
Realy guys?Is it so good that makes you wan't to read it again?.Personally, haven't read a book twice, and I believe you're saying too much?!
