Patch v5.40 is finally here!

A couple of days ago, Epic Games announced that they are going to delay the next update due to the last minute bug found in the update, so today is finally the day that the update hits all the devices. While we wait for the update to finish, Epic Games gave us an insight into everything that is coming with the next update.

According to the official blog, Epic Games welcomes the entire Fortnite community to its High Stakes event which also players to assemble a crew for the brand new Getaway LTM. Furthermore, this new game mode also features a ton of new challenges, which upon completion, grant players some serious rewards like XP, a new Contrail and a Crowbar Pickaxe.

The grappling hook is absolutely off the chain! It has become an essential tool in fights as it makes my movement during fights more unpredictable and not to mention it has saved me a few time from falling to my death. One of my best kills ever came from running between three guys dropping an impulse grenade launching everyone including myself off the mountain and using the grappling hook to save myself while my enemies died.

Always good to hear and from what I have seen so far, so good. It is just nice getting those and knowing they are always looking to improve.

The high stakes game mode is amazing! I got sniped while trying to escape with the vault and the worse part was, I was about to win.
